WE ARE MOVING!!

That's right - we're moving to another part of South Fargo. A home that has more space and 3 bedrooms on one level - can't wait!! This past weekend we spent moving things into the garage of our new house and now all that's left is some cleaning of our current house and a walk-through tomorrow and then Thursday morning is closing of both houses. In 36 hours from now, we should be standing in our new home!

It's been such a whirlwind last couple months. So much fun and so much work! As I sit typing tonight, there is 2 mattresses, a pack-n-play, a few clothes, a recliner, this computer and a small TV left in the house. Tomorrow night after kids are in bed, everything we don't need Thursday morning will be put in the trailer sitting in the driveway - waiting to go to the new house.

Look for pictures to come soon . . . I hope! We've been so blessed to have so many of our friends and family help with this move and can't wait to share the new house with everyone!

Easter 2010

Samantha had her 1st Easter and it was such a beautiful day! The boys were able to do their egg hunt outside . . . I don't remember a time that was able to happen! We spent the day with my family at my parents home. I would have to say - a good day had by all.

some of Samantha's firsts

Her 1st haircut - which, yes - should have happened much sooner than it did, but I was dragging my feet. The poor girl couldn't see past her hair any longer. So - the first haircut was done by Mom at home (and she's since already had another).

after

So - she's now tried green veggies (peas & beans), orange veggies (squash, sweet potatoes & carrots) and fruits of bananas, pears, peaches and applesauce. All the fruits were a hit and the sweet potatoes were well received also . . . all the others - not so much.

bananas
maybe a little tired of the camera in her face . . .

And when she turned 6 months old on 2/5/10, she got to test out the exersaucer - and it's STILL a hit! You might be able to tell by the smiles :)

guess which is her favorite toy to chew on?? :)

Some videos from the Mitchell house

Brady's latest fascination is the movie "Alvin & the Chipmunks" - he can now recite some of the lines and many of the songs. He gets up and dances every time a song comes on - it's just too priceless!

Sorry - I didn't know how to get it the right direction!

Twinsfest 2010

We went to Minneapolis for our annual trip to take in Twinsfest. For those of you not familiar, it's a gathering of many things all centered around the MN Twins. Many current and former Twins come and will sign autographs, do interviews for kids, take pictures with fans and be on the radio. You can also audition to sing the national anthem for a game, see oodles and oodles of memorabilia, buy your favorite Twins gear in the Pro Shop, partake in silent auction, but tickets for the upcoming season and tour the clubhouses. For kids, they set up a few batting cages that are manned by Gopher players, bounce houses for the younger kids and 2 makeshift baseball fields where they play whiffle ball and kids can run the bases and all.
James and I have been going since 2005 and always seem to see something new each year. Brady is of the age that he LOVES the bounce houses and knows quite a few of the players and Samantha was just along for the ride this year :)

Brady watching the "big" kids play baseball and telling us maybe he'll do it next year when he's 4 . . .

Denard Span at the Kids Q & A - he was hilarious!

January 2010

A new year and fun things every day with 2 kids! Most things are good but others are challenging . . . I'm told that's being a parent, right?

We are officially searching for a new house in this new year. Should prove to be both challenging and rewarding. It will force us to clean up things around here and hopefully create better ways of keeping things tidier for when we put our house on the market, which our goal is March 1st.
Samantha is growing like a weed and started the new year by rolling over!!

She also started eating some baby foods when she turned 5 months on 1/5/10. We had tried cereal with her in December, but she did not care for it at all! These peas seemed to go over better :)

And sadly, the month ended with the Vikings not winning the NFC Championship and disappointing thousands of Minnesota fans . . . again. There's always next year, right?
